The exhibitions
The Abu Dhabi Media Office's announcement lists four exhibitions. Spices and Wonders: Sailing the Indian Ocean runs from 14 October 2026 to 14 February 2027. It is co-organised with the National Museum of Asian Arts, Guimet, in France, and covers Indian Ocean trade from Antiquity to the 17th century.
Art Here 2026, the sixth edition, runs from 11 November 2026 to 28 February 2027 on the theme Confluences, curated by Kamini Sawhney, with shortlisted artists from the GCC and India. The prize winner is to be announced later.
Living Legacies. Protecting Heritage. Building Hope runs from 23 November 2026 to 25 April 2027. It is organised with the ALIPH Foundation to mark its 10 years, and uses loans, projections and testimonies.
For children
A Board Game Adventure, at the Children's Museum, runs from 18 July 2026 to April 2027. It traces games such as chess, carrom, ludo and mancala through about 30 objects. The announcement gives only the month for its close, so we do not list it as a dated event. Each exhibition also has a children and family learning path.
Programmes and planning
The museum lists curator-led talks, a symposium, film screenings, performances and weekly adult workshops, plus an audio tour beneath the dome. The announcement does not print ticket prices or opening hours, so check the museum's website before you visit.
Saadiyat has more to see than a decade ago: our art week guide covers November, and the Guggenheim is scheduled to open on 11 December.
