This notice covers Hadath (this website). It is a plain-language draft and must be reviewed by a UAE legal adviser (including under the UAE data protection law) before tickets are sold or verification documents are collected.
What we collect
- Forms. If you ask about an event, ask to list an event, report a correction or join the weekly list, we receive what you type: name, email, optionally phone, company and your message.
- Ticket orders. When you buy tickets here we record your name, email, optional phone, what you bought and the order status. The organiser of that event can see these details for their own orders and check-in.
- Organiser accounts. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Verification documents. To approve an organisation we collect its trade licence, an identity document of its authorised representative, optional bank or authority letters and the payout account name and IBAN. These are held in private storage and are visible only to the account holder and our verification team.
- Saved events. The Save button stores event identifiers in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
- Usage data. We count page views and clicks on ticket links with Google Analytics, loaded after you first interact with the page, to learn which listings are useful.
Why and for how long
We use form details to reply to you and, if you joined the list, to email you about events. Order details are used to issue and honour your tickets and to handle refunds and disputes. Verification documents are used to check an organisation before approval and to meet our legal obligations. We keep each kind of data for as long as its purpose or the law requires and delete it on request where we are allowed to.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is read by the people who run Hadath. When you ask about a specific event we may pass your question, and the contact details you gave, to that event's organiser. Buyers' order details go to the event's organiser. Our payment provider processes card payments and returns only the result and a reference. Our hosting and database providers process data for us under their terms. We do not sell personal data.
Payments and ticket sellers
When you pay on Hadath you enter your card details on the payment provider's secure page, never on this site. When you click Get tickets on another listing you leave this site for the organiser's or seller's own website, which has its own privacy policy and handles your payment.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to leave the weekly list, send a message through the correction form on the About page, or reply to any email we send you.
