What is confirmed

RAK Art's own page gives 22 January to 14 February 2027 and the theme Lost in Translation, inspired by Sofia Coppola's 2003 film. The festival uses translation as a way into language, emotion and culture.

It names three stages in the heritage village of Al Jazeera Al Hamra: Abdul Kareem House, The Fort and The Majlis. The programme includes a Grand Jury Prize of AED 12,000 or more, workshops and masterclasses, and art, heritage and food tours.

What is not

The festival's page does not say whether entry is free or ticketed. Check it before you travel. Al Jazeera Al Hamra is a heritage village, so expect uneven ground and limited facilities, and go in daylight for the buildings.

Planning

The festival opens the day after the Hero Dubai Desert Classic begins, so January weekends are busy in the north. Allow plenty of time for the drive from Dubai. See our January 2027 guide.
