UAE public holidays 2026-27: dates to plan events around

National Day is on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December 2026. It is followed immediately by the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

PublicHolidays.ae lists these estimated dates: New Year's Day, Friday 1 January; Eid Al Fitr, Monday 8 to Thursday 11 March; Arafat Day, Saturday 15 May; Eid Al Adha, Sunday 16 to Tuesday 18 May; Islamic New Year, Sunday 6 June; the Prophet's birthday, Saturday 14 August; and National Day, Thursday 2 and Friday 3 December 2027. It says the table will be updated once official dates are released.

Khaleej Times, citing the UAE Astronomy Centre, gives Ramadan beginning around 8 February, Eid Al Fitr on 9 or 10 March, Eid Al Adha on 16 or 17 May and the Islamic New Year on 5, 6 or 7 June depending on the moon. Treat both as provisional. See our Ramadan guide.

Holiday weekends fill hotels and concert halls. Eid in March falls just before Gulfood and UNTOLD Dubai. Book travel after the official announcement if you can, or take refundable rates.
